2020 Holiday Campaign

During the holiday season of 2020, Plugable had discounts projected to run for a few weeks. To kick it off they needed to broadcast a holiday marketing campaign. They needed social assets that were cross-functional for all our social platforms. Such as Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter. Including other various platforms - email, ads, Amazon store, and the Plugable Website.

Streamline and Design

I was to design and find a solution and ensure these assets were created responsively for the various digital platforms. To stay organized I collected the information and copy using Google Sheets. This includes discounted products, prices discounts, and links.

I had to account for how the images were being displayed on different platforms. For example, 4 images in a Facebook post are laid out differently than 4 images on a Twitter post. So I gathered the different aspect ratios and social post layouts.

 

After understanding the different layouts I went to illustrator to create responsive artboards. This way it will help streamline the process when creating and exporting images. In some circumstances, I had to design for platforms with specific requirements separately. Then I created a theme beginning with a generic banner and a product post. From there, I applied the theme to the rest of artboards creating cohesive designs.

Just like that…

Followers doubled on Amazon alone when we added a note to “Follow Us” on our Amazon Store holiday banner. This introduced new ways to better streamline our assets across various platforms. Also, new exciting ways to engage consumers when shopping for their loved ones!
